Quadrol® L Applications
Main Applications

Quadrol® L is used to neutralize acids and substances that contain acid groups. It is a weaker base than diethanolamine and triethanolamine.

Usage Calculation

Due to the difference in molar mass (Quadrol® L = 292, triethanolamine = 149), the amount of Quadrol L (equivalent weight = 146) required to completely neutralize acids is about 2% less than the corresponding amount of triethanolamine. The amount required can be calculated from the acid number of the substance to be neutralized, or the rate of addition can be controlled by monitoring the pH.
